BreathingSpace is an exciting initiative for the management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in primary care. Operating from a new purpose built centre in Rotherham, it provides one of the largest pulmonary rehabilitation programmes in the UK in addition to inpatient beds for those with a worsening existing respiratory condition. As managerial lead for the BreathingSpace team you will work collaboratively with local primary and secondary care providers to raise the standard of diagnosis and care in all aspects of COPD care.

We are seeking a Clinical Specialist with experience of COPD and significant management experience to join the Breathing Space Team, and work collaboratively with other team members across the Health Community.

You will have a clinical caseload and managerial duties on a 50:50 basis. You will be responsible for assessing patients, formulating treatment and management plans in acute and non acute situations, delivering education programmes to Primary Care staff including Practice Nurses, GPs and community nursing and therapy staff related to these topics in line with the latest research, evidence and NICE guidance.

You will be a registered practitioner, with ENB 998 or equivalent and have a masters level qualification or equivalent or be working towards achieving this.
